Can excess heat from businesses play a role in the green transition?

That is exactly what we are exploring through the GREENSPIRE project. Recently, companies from Port of Aalborg, Port of Hirtshals and the surrounding area came together for a workshop via the project focusing on excess heat, collaboration and energy efficiency.

The project partners in GREENSPIRE are working to break down the barriers that currently stand in the way of reducing the COâ‚‚ footprint of heat consumption. Together, the partners aim to optimize the use of excess heat and create industrial symbioses where companies collaborate to use energy more efficiently.

Our six European pilot sites are testing and developing solutions through different technologies and local initiatives:
🔷 Port of Aalborg (Denmark)
🔷 Port of Hirtshals – Greenport North (Denmark)
🔷 Notmeir – Duffel – POM Antwerpen (Belgium)
🔷 Herentals – Industrial Park Klein-Gent – POM Antwerpen (Belgium)
🔷 Thessaloniki Business Park – EPPATHE (Greece)
🔷 Los Angeles Industrial Park – GETAFE INICIATIVAS SA (Spain)
